How the reconstitution math works

The calculator is intentionally narrow: it converts vial mass, liquid volume, and syringe scale into numbers you can verify. It does not choose what to take or when to take it.

1. Concentration

Vial mg divided by BAC-water mL gives mg per mL. A 10 mg vial with 2 mL added is 5 mg/mL.

2. Draw volume

Your per-injection mg amount divided by concentration gives the mL to draw from the vial.

3. Syringe units

U-100 syringes read 100 units per mL. U-40 syringes read 40 units per mL. The same liquid volume reads differently on each scale.

What is BAC water?

BAC water is shorthand for bacteriostatic water: sterile water with benzyl alcohol added as a preservative. It is used as a diluent when a vial is meant to be reconstituted before injection.

The water volume you add changes the concentration. It does not change the total amount in the vial.

Why do U-100 and U-40 units differ?

Units are syringe markings, not mg. A U-100 syringe has 100 units in 1 mL; a U-40 syringe has 40 units in 1 mL. Always match the calculator setting to the syringe in front of you.

Why are compound pages reviewed before publishing?

Vial strengths, storage instructions, and BUD windows vary by compound and product form. Salt only publishes a compound spoke after those reference facts have been checked against public sources.
