On iPhone, eligible new annual subscribers may receive 7 days free through Apple. The weekly App Store plan and ineligible annual purchases are billed immediately. Ordinary web subscriptions begin when purchased. A validated creator link is separate: it starts a 30-day Stripe trial with a card and keeps the creator annual rate after activation. Every paid plan unlocks the same Salt Pro features.

Apple shows your localized App Store price, trial eligibility, and renewal terms before you confirm. Eligible annual customers are charged after the 7-day introductory period; the weekly plan and ineligible annual purchases begin immediately. Ordinary web subscriptions are billed when purchased. Creator links require a card for a separate 30-day Stripe trial, with the creator annual rate beginning only after activation and the trial period.

Your data stays in your account, encrypted. You can keep viewing your saved history. New logging, schedule changes, insights generation, and bloodwork or Apple Health imports pause until you subscribe. We never delete your data without your explicit request.

Yes. App Store subscriptions are managed in Apple’s subscription settings, where Apple shows the timing and billing effect before you confirm a change. Web subscriptions are managed through your Salt account. Because Apple and Stripe apply their own billing rules, do not assume every plan change is prorated the same way.

Some creators and coaches share links that unlock a creator annual offer. Their link opens Stripe checkout on the web, where you enter a card to start a 30-day trial and create your account. Sign in with the same account on iPhone within 27 days to activate Salt and keep your $59.99/year creator rate. If you don’t, you won’t be charged — Salt ends the web trial before billing. You can subscribe later through the App Store at the standard price.

Yes. Compound, dose, bloodwork, and protocol data is encrypted on your device using a master key derived from your password. Salt’s servers store only the encrypted ciphertext; we cannot read your data even with full database access. The tradeoff: if you forget your recovery phrase, we literally cannot restore your data.

Apple controls refunds for App Store purchases, so those requests must be submitted through Apple. For an eligible web purchase billed through Stripe, email support@getjoust.app and include the account email and charge date. Nothing here limits refund rights that apply under local law.
