How the trial works
The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial with every feature included. The weekly plan does not include a trial. If you don’t subscribe, your saved data stays viewable in permanent read-only mode, and you can subscribe later to resume logging.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

What does the trial include?
The annual plan includes a 7-day trial with everything in the paid plan. No features are gated during the trial. After the trial, if you haven’t subscribed, the app moves to permanent read-only mode — you can still view your saved data, then resume logging by subscribing.
Do I need to enter a payment method to start?
The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. The App Store shows the full terms and renewal price before you confirm your subscription.
What happens to my data if I don’t subscribe?
Your data stays in your account, encrypted. You can keep viewing your saved history. New logging, schedule changes, insights generation, and bloodwork or Apple Health imports pause until you subscribe. We never delete your data without your explicit request.
Which plans are available?
Joust Pro is available as an annual plan for $69.99 per year or a weekly plan for $1.99 per week. The 7-day free trial is available with the annual plan only.
Is my data really encrypted?
Yes. Compound, dose, bloodwork, and protocol data is encrypted on your device using a master key derived from your password. Salt’s servers store only the encrypted ciphertext; we cannot read your data even with full database access. The tradeoff: if you forget your recovery phrase, we literally cannot restore your data.
Do you offer refunds?
If you subscribe and decide within 14 days that Salt isn’t right for you, reply to the welcome email and we’ll refund your most recent payment. After 14 days, refunds are evaluated case by case.
